Northern Comfort Collectors
The Northern Comfort air system is designed to deliver up to 8 CFM./Sq.Ft. of collector surface without appreciable static pressure. The ability of our system to operate in such a wide performance range makes it very adaptable for use in commercial and agricultural work.
Our modular design allows for collectors to be run in series to increase temperature and air flow rate. In very large arrays, numerous collectors in series may be joined in parallel for high heat and very high air flow rates. Our dual mode systems provide the addition of a liquid water heating system without the drawbacks of one. With dual mode air the array must be larger than a liquid array but the advantage stops at that point.
It will not freeze, so no broken pipes because of lost antifreeze protection.
No antifreeze to change because it uses potable water in a conditioned space.
No need for a double walled heat exchanger because it uses potable water.
No plumbing in an unconditioned space.
Once water heating requirements are met additional heat can be supplied to the building.
